Although this rarely seen and much prized magical creature ultimately passed away, the ancient woodland spirit left a passing gift for the would-be savior – a special imprint of the mark of the unicorn upon Antinua’s magical aura, that would forever afterward travel with her and could, in times of danger, be called upon to provide assistance from the spirit world. Antinua has consistently validated Mytheasia’s choice by her quick-wits and successful engagements with the outside world, including a deadly conflict with the Chaos Beastmen at the Jungle’s border and in which Antinua was fortunate enough to rescue a severely injured lunar unicorn from the evil marauders with a few well-timed arrows. Antinua’s extraordinary talents, both magical and otherwise, were apparent from a young age, which earned her an early promotion to personal disciple of the great High Priestess Mytheasia.
Unfortunately, increasing incursions from the Bloodbeast Jungle have cast a long shadow over Antinua’s work, and she fears the elves’ worst days lie ahead…Īntinua is a member of what is known as the “new elves”, a generation born after the loss of Phoenix Mountain and the Great Migration into Sylvan Forest. Antinua is fortunate enough to serve in the guard alongside her lover, Captain Earendil, and the two are well-matched in strength of character, decisiveness, and their quick wits. This blessing has traveled with Antinua ever since and contributed to her survival through countless skirmishes with Bloodbeasts venturing into elven territory as the captain of the Elven Scouts and a guardian of the border between the Astral Forest and the outside world. A nearby Moon Unicorn had pity on the young girl and wove a protective enchantment with its blood to save her life. Antinua is an elven archer who, as a child, was nearly killed at the hands of an anti-elven raiding party from Bloodbeast Jungle.
